3D Basics
When you look around, you see a world full of solid objects. But this perception of a 3D world is created by your brain using visual information from each eye. Each eye sees an image, much like a camera, but because your eyes are horizontally separated by a few inches, each eye sees a slightly different image. This difference between the left and right eye images is what your brain uses to create a 3D view of the world.

If you capture a pair of videos with cameras horizontally separated by a few inches, then you might have the stereoscopic data necessary to create a 3D movie. The cameras must be almost identical, using the same focus, zoom, exposure, timing, and aligned properly. Minor image alignment problems can be corrected within the Stereoscopic 3D Software.

The secret to seeing 3D images or videos is to show the left images to the left eye
and the right images to the right eye, and let your brain do the rest.
This is accomplished by using 3D Displays with 3D glasses.
